On the shelf at the entry way there are two framed discharge certificates and her sheepskin from law school. It's not a big game changer, but it would explain why a lawyer would know how to pick up weapons and use them like she knew what she was doing. All the parts are already in the game for her to be a vet, including such subtleties as when they are at the mirror during character creation instead of saying "you're" going to knock em dead at the veterans hall tonight she says "WE'RE" going to knock em dead.
